Breathwork with Julie & $45 + tax

Service Description
This Breathwork Session is a unique experience for participants to connect and heal through the power of breath and sound. Facilitated by Julie Thompson, you will be immersed in a harmonious atmosphere for healing and connection. This event is open to individuals looking to release stress, find inner peace, and connect in a welcoming, inclusive environment. Hosted by Ubuntu Breathwork. This event is intended for participants aged 18+. What is Breathwork: Breathwork is a facilitated experience that allows participants to connect more deeply with their physical body and their emotions. Participants will practice a circular breathing technique to access and release stored-up emotions from work, relationships, and life. What Might I Experience: You may experience strong emotion (sadness, joy, or anger) as well as temporary tingling or numbness in face, hands, or legs; temperatures changes within the body; or light-headedness, all of which typically disappear by the end of the session. Is Breathwork Safe for Anyone: Breathwork is not advised if you are pregnant or have a history of cardiovascular disease, heart attack, recent surgeries, physical injuries, blood thinners, major medications, mental illness, significant trauma, high/low blood pressure, glaucoma, epilepsy, seizures, severe asthma, or osteoporosis. What Should I Bring to Session: Water bottle, a yoga mat, eye cover, stones, oils, or crystals for grounding, and a journal (optional). Blankets and bolsters are available at the studio. About Julie: Hi, I’m Julie Thompson, founder of Ubuntu Breathwork and Yoga. “Ubuntu” is an ancient African philosophy that speaks to our shared humanity and interconnectedness—it means, “I am, because we are.” As a breathwork facilitator and yoga teacher, I believe in nurturing the whole person—mind, body, and soul. My approach to wellness is rooted in mindfulness, compassion, and creating space for healing and growth. I hold a certificate in Applied Mindfulness and Meditation from the University of Toronto, a Trauma-Informed Coaching certificate from The Healing Centre, and a Mindfulness Ambassador Certificate from The Global Minds. These practices have profoundly shaped how I see myself, my life, and the world around me. At the heart of my work is a deep belief in the power of kindness, self-love, and self-compassion. I’m here to guide you in reconnecting with yourself, embracing your authenticity, and finding balance in a way that feels meaningful and true to you.
